Last week, the US Chapter of the Global Open Innovation Network held a TechMeeting devoted to Travel and Transportation industry. More than 60 people attended the event hosted by Amadeus including large corporations such as the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Keolis, Shell, Saint Gobain, and PSA Peugeot-Citroen.

Rashesh Jethi, SVP and Head of R&D for Americas at Amadeus, kicked off the event by introducing Amadeus to the audience. Amadeus, which is celebrating its 30 year anniversary in 2017, facilitates the entire travel journey by giving the tools to key players in the travel industry to better serve travelers and to manage their own business more effectively. Amadeus partners with all players such as travel agencies, corporations, airlines, airports, hotels, railways, etc.

Denis Lacroix, SVP Core Shared Services R&D, then presented an overview of the latest trends in travel and how key technologies such as AI, AR/VR or blockchain are impacting the industry.

Finally, Kerry Zeil, Head of Amadeus for Startups, explained how Amadeus is supporting the growth and evolution of online travel and searching for companies of all sizes and stages of development through their program.
