We attend lots of pitch events and talk to plenty of entrepreneurs, but here’s an event that you should not have missed: the French American pitch battleground!
We were proud to host this unique event in partnership with ubi i/o, 500 startups, and Founders space. Thanks again to our sponsor KVB Partners.
16 pitches! From consumer to social innovation and B2B, the businesses ranged across a wide spectrum of industries. Their one common denominator was that they each had a tech component, further showcasing the talent that France and US have to offer.
The French American Pitch Battleground gathered an audience of corporates, investors and entrepreneurs of the Bay Area to pick the most convincing and engaging pitches amongst 16 early-stage startups.
During the night, 8 French startups and the 8 American delivered a powerful 3 minutes pitch and the battle was tight.
Our jury and the audience were offered the opportunity to vote for their favorite pitch of the night. The jury’s vote went to Portapure (Jury’s Pick), awarding the portable gallon water filtration device that enables households to provide clean water for their families and sustain clean water micro-businesses for their communities.
The public’s vote went to Roost (Public’s Pick). With roost, you can find storage in your neighborhood for half the cost of a traditional storage unit.
During the event the startups had an opportunity to network with each other and meet our jury members. The French Tech Hub would like to thank all the partners and attendees who made this event possible and a success, we are looking forward to the next French American Pitch Battle in our office.
