On May 11th, PRIME and Inria are organizing the first U.S. edition of Inria-Industry meeting that will be held at PRIME/French Tech Hub, in San Francisco CA.

Inria is the only French public research institution fully dedicated to computational sciences. The researchers at Inria are behind over 1000 software and 300 active patents. The 168 project teams are distributed in eight research centers located throughout France. Since its inception in 1984, Inria has created 120 startups stemming from their research work. To support these startups, Inria organizes several Inria-Industry meetings each year to foster collaboration and partnerships between its researchers and industry executives.

This Inria-Industry meeting in San Francisco will focus on Smart City and Mobility innovations. It will showcase research and solutions from 20+ research teams and startups. The main objectives of this event are to create business opportunities and to initiate joint-projects between researchers and corporations.

– Keynotes of City representatives from San Francisco and Paris

– Pitch sessions for solutions on:

 Urban physical and social sensing (air quality, noise pollution, transport, etc.)

 Big data analysis for city planning, traffic management and personalized mobility

 Wireless communications, sensor networks, communication optimization, urban networks

 Data ownership, privacy and security

 Democratization of urban information and citizen engagement

 New mobility solutions (robotized and autonomous systems)
